Anjuman-I-Islam’s Polytechnic for Girls started organizing these intercollege competitions with an aim to provide exposure to its students and to build confidence in them. These competitions bring a sense of independence and inculcate in them the importance of outside interaction. The initial participation was only from 10 colleges. However the number has reached as high as 23 in 4 years. The fest includes different themes bringing about a variety and freshness. The competitions were based on interesting topics like debate, draping, fashion illustration, teaching aids make-up and hairstyles. Rangoli, mehendi classical dance, singing, cooking, craft based on best out of waste concepts and even covered topics like computers the topics like computers including PowerPoint presentations. It reaches out to students from other institutes and helps in promoting varied courses.
